Tie Guan Yin Oolong tea or Iron Bodhisattva of Mercy, from Gande town of Anxi county, famous for it's high floral aroma and long after taste. It is characterized by light oxidation and heavy rolling. It has a glossy appearence with deep green color and unique taste of orchid's nectar. It's refreshing and relaxing. It's recommended to infuse in glass to see how the tea leaves are opening or by Gongfu way. Perfect before and after yoga, sport and meditation.

Tie Guan Yin is a premium variety of Chinese oolong tea originated in the 19th century in Fujian province.

PRODUCTION

:

it's harvested by hand from high altitude tea orchards and is the oolong tea of choice among the Chinese. Natural plant nutrients, such as antioxidants, are preserved in this semi-oxidized tea.

Tie Guan Yin is high in amino acids, vitamins, polyphenols and antioxidants. These combine into a tea that reduces cholesterol and helps reduce hardening of the arteries, and so can help reduce risks of heart attacks. The antioxidants it contains can also help guard against some forms of cancer, and also help fight the affects of aging and bacterial infections.

PREPARATION

:

we suggest to use a gaiwan, or a teapot in Purion clay or Yixing. Preheat your teapot with hot water and remove the water. Place 1-2 teaspoons of tea for every 225ml of water and boil your water at 95 °C. Steep your leaves for one minute in the first and second brewing and then increase your steeping time and temperatures in the next ones. It can be re-infused 5-6 times per serving.
