Bai Mao Hou White Monkey is a traditional green tea variety that grows along the slopes of the Taimu mountains in Fujian province, in China.
Picked up in early spring, it is an absolute must for every lover of Chinese green tea! The young leaves and unopened buds are carefully gathered and processed exclusively by hand. The result is a tea that appears intricately woven with large and beautiful white tips looking like white-haired monkey's paws. The name "White Monkey" derives from this characteristic.

For the best infusion results, we recommend to infuse the tea leaves in water at around 75-80°C. Although it is common practice nowadays to steep green tea in porcelain or glassware, the real taste Bay Mao Hou is better achieved by using a porous Yixing clay teapot, which was popular exactly for green tea brewing. The best is to do 4-5 infusions of 20-40 seconds each.
